Up The Garden Bath is an award winning community project that is committed to fighting food poverty, education, recycling, creating opportunities, promoting health and wellbeing and environmental improvement.
We work with local businesses to reduce waste and landfill. We take unwanted waste materials that would usually end up in landfill such as old bathtubs and upcycle them into educational garden planters.
Our upcycled bathtub planters are sponsored by local organisations and installed into schools, community centres and residential care homes. We use our upcycled bathtub planters to educate people about recycling, gardening, sustainability & wildlife preservation.
Up The Garden Bath is committed to creating opportunities and our planters are produced by a network of individuals who have found their route into mainstream employment blocked for varying reasons.
Gardening has been proven to be beneficial to mental and physical wellbeing and we aim to make gardening accessible to everyone regardless of their demographic or physical abilities. We work with doctors surgeries and social prescribing specialists to promote a healthy and active lifestyle.
We work alongside local youth organisations to empower & create opportunities through hands on learning.
We work with local communities to transform run down areas that are often blighted by fly-tipping. We aim to bring communities together with a shared project that enhances their local area. We regenerate and rejuvenate run down areas into pollinator parks designed to encourage and enhance inner city wildlife.
Our mission is to reduce landfill whilst promoting recycling, sustainability and healthy living through gardening. If you would like to learn more, support our projects or volunteer then please get in touch.
